Less than a week . . .

We took the car out to the farm today to make sure it can handle the trek to B.C.   It's all good news.

My gf rocks.

I am always amazed at how good she is with animals of any kind.

My yin...

Go forth and multiply....

For some reason bunnies have overrun the injured bird sanctuary.

With endless supplies of bread, and an inexhaustible supply of cute, these bunnies are sure to prosper.

They were extremely friendly and very playful...a humble reminder of how to live.

 I hope they stay ...

I saw this downtown in the financial sector...

...reaching up towards the sky as if growing out of a giant glass fissure.

I sincerely hope that this tree outlives both these buildings.

19 more days until Shambhala.  It's all I can think about right now.

As it gets closer I've been having increasingly vivid dreams about this magical place.  When I close my eyes I can almost see the lasers.

Everything's better with lasers...including long exposure photography:

Silent Hill anyone???

Much love to my girlfriend for teaching me about light graffiti.

I came from a city with a very dangerous River and settled in a city with a very polluted Lake.

How fitting that a political house of lies be built on such a dirty lake...

Our cat spends so much time looking out the window I can't help but wonder if she resents us for her domestication...

Then I remember that she used to live in a dumpster.

Dumpster kitty has it pretty good now.

We can't freeze time, but we can pretend....

"In captivity, an average life expectancy for male indoor cats at birth is 12 to 14 years,[90] with females usually living a year or two longer. However, there have been records of cats reaching into their 20s and 30s, with the oldest known cat, Creme Puff, dying at a verified age of 38." Link

This is my cat Bleep.  She makes me wish cats lived longer.  Fuck.  :/

The balcony garden is doing very well.  The Nikon D3000 is doing even better.

I just finished reading some Alan Watts.  I feel calm, rested even, after taking in such simple yet profound wisdom.  He praised new music for it's continued celebration of humanity, it's appeal to the rhythm of the human spirit, and it's symbolism of /and simultaneously it's direct connection to/ the larger dance of life. I love it!

Life as a dance/party/rave.   Have as much fun as you can, make some awesome memories.

Creation stories have all failed to grasp or explain our position in creation.    We are not the end result of creation.  We're still watching creation unravel, but the rare opportunity to be a cognizant part of it, to marvel at it, and to learn from and be humbled by it...  The rarity is enough to make it feel sacred.
